The school is owned and governed by the Stichting International Academy of Suriname. The board of the stichting (Dutch for “foundation”) is responsible for formulating the policies that control the school’s programs and operation. The board aligns its policies to work in harmony with the policies and administrative guidelines of the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS). The Director is responsible for communicating and implementing these policies. The self-perpetuating board is made up of Christians who live and work in the local community.
